LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Economic Evaluations of Medical Care Interventions for Cancer Patients: How, Why, and What Does it Mean?

After completing this activity, the learner should be able to:

• Discuss the components, main types, and analytic issues of health economic evaluations.
• Explain the relevance of health economic evaluations to clinical and policy decisions.

The ACS designates this educational activity for a maximum of one AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
