LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Psychosocial Interventions for Anxiety and Depression in Adult Cancer Patients: Achievements and Challenges

After completing this activity, the learner should be able to:

• Describe the sources, assessment, and prevalence of anxiety and depression in adults with cancer.
• Summarize current clinical practice guidelines for management of anxiety and depression in adults with cancer.
• Discuss some examples of psychosocial interventions for management of anxiety and depression in adults with cancer that are effective and have good potential for dissemination in routine clinical practice.
