LEARNING OBJECTIVES: How to Increase Colorectal Cancer Screening Rates in Practice
After completing this activity, the learner should be able to:
• Discuss the importance of office policies and tools in taking a systematic approach to colorectal cancer screening in primary care practices.
• Review ways to implement patient and physician reminder systems.
• Explain the importance of using theory-based communication strategies to promote colorectal cancer screening.
The ACS designates this educational activity for a maximum of one AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
