LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Patient-reported Outcomes in Cancer: A Review of Recent Research and Policy Initiatives

After completing this activity, the learner should be able to:

•  Define key terms, including patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and health-related quality of life (HRQOL).
•  Describe how PROs are measured.
•  Briefly discuss application of PROs in clinical research, in regulatory decisions regarding drug approval, and in clinical practice.

The ACS designates this educational activity for a maximum of one AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
