LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Young Adult Oncology: The Patients and Their Survival Challenges

After completing this activity, the learner should be able to:

•  Contrast cancer occurrence data and risk factors among adolescents and young adults with those of younger and older individuals.
•  Discuss key treatment decisions related to outcomes of adolescents and young adults with cancer.
•  Discuss some of the unique psychosocial needs of adolescents and young adults during and after treatment of cancer.

The ACS designates this educational activity for a maximum of one AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
