LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Young Adult Oncology: The Patients and Their Survival Challenges
After completing this activity, the learner should be able to:
• Contrast cancer occurrence data and risk factors among adolescents and young adults with those of younger and older individuals.
• Discuss key treatment decisions related to outcomes of adolescents and young adults with cancer.
• Discuss some of the unique psychosocial needs of adolescents and young adults during and after treatment of cancer.
The ACS designates this educational activity for a maximum of one AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This activity is approved for 1 AAFP Prescribed credit. Credit may be claimed for 1 year from the date of this issue. The physician should claim only those hours of credit that he or she actually spent in the educational activity. The online quiz must be completed by July 1, 2008.
