LEARNING OBJECTIVES: American Cancer Society Guideline for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine Use to Prevent Cervical Cancer and Its Precursors
After completing this activity, the learner should be able to:
• List the American Cancer Society (ACS) recommendations for vaccination against HPV to prevent cervical cancer.
• Briefly review the evidence supporting the guidelines.
• Discuss the role of HPV as a cause of cervical cancer.
The ACS designates this educational activity for a maximum of one category 1 credit toward the AMA Physicians Recognition Award.
This activity is approved for 1 AAFP Prescribed credit. Credit may be claimed for 1 year from the date of this issue. The physician should claim only those hours of credit that he or she actually spent in the educational activity. The online quiz must be completed by January 1, 2008.
