OBJECTIVES After reading the article Staging of Primary Malignancies of Bone, the learner should be able to:
• Describe the similarities and differences between the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (MSTS) and the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging systems.
• Discuss the use of imaging studies in staging of patients with primary bone sarcomas.
• Discuss the prognostic relevance of features in current staging systems and of some other features of bone sarcomas.
The ACS designates this educational activity for a maximum of one category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award.
This activity is approved for 1 AAFP Prescribed credit. Credit may be claimed for 1 year from the date of this issue. The physician should claim only those hours of credit that he or she actually spent in the educational activity. This quiz must be submitted online by November 1, 2007.
