OBJECTIVES After reading the article Preventing Occupational Exposures to Antineoplastic Drugs in Health Care Settings, the learner should be able to:

•  Discuss the epidemiologic evidence relevant to adverse health effects in workers who handle antineoplastic drugs.
•  List occupational hazards associated with preparation, transportation, administration, and disposal of antineoplastic drugs.
•  Describe the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Recommendations for Safe Handling of Antineoplastic and Other Hazardous Drugs.

The ACS designates this educational activity for a maximum of one category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award.

This activity is approved for 1 AAFP Prescribed credit. Credit may be claimed for 1 year from the date of this issue. The physician should claim only those hours of credit that he or she actually spent in the educational activity. This quiz must be submitted online by November 1, 2007.
