OBJECTIVES After reading the article Diagnostic Approach and Management of Lynch Syndrome (hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal carcinoma): A Guide for Clinicians, the learner should be able to:

•  List the techniques currently recommended for detecting the molecular changes responsible for Lynch syndrome.

•  Explain the molecular reasoning supporting the diagnostic algorithms in this article.

•  Discuss the clinical management of individuals with Lynch syndrome.

The ACS designates this educational activity for a maximum of one category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award.
