OBJECTIVES After reading the article, Breast Cancer, Staging, the learner should be able to:
Discuss principles of the TNM staging system for breast cancer, including the current status of isolated tumor cells and micrometastases in N classification, and the T criteria relevant to skin involvement.
Discuss some promising approaches to breast cancer staging being considered for future updates.
The American Cancer Society (ACS) designates this education activity for a maximum of one category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Award.
This activity is approved for 1 AAFP Prescribed credit. Credit may be claimed for 1 year from the date of this issue. The physician should claim only those hours of credit that he or she actually spent on the educational activity. This quiz must be submitted online by January 1, 2007.
