OBJECTIVES After reading the article, Preserving Fertility After Cancer, the learner should be able to:

•  Understand how the function of the reproductive organs in women and men might be disrupted by radiation or chemotherapy.

•  Describe how specific cancers, cancer treatments, and other factors such as age can have an effect on fertility.

•  Identify the options available to help maintain fertility in women and men undergoing treatment for cancer.

The ACS designates this educational activity for a maximum of one category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award.

This activity is approved for one AAFP Prescribed credit. Credit may be claimed for 1 year from the date of this issue. The physician should claim only those hours of credit that he or she actually spent in the educational activity. This quiz must be submitted online by July 1, 2006.
