OBJECTIVES After reading the article, Advances in Radiation Therapy: Conventional to 3D, to IMRT, to 4D and Beyond, the learner should be able to:
Understand the advantages of advances in modern radiotherapy, including intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and four-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (4D CRT), and how these modalities are being incorporated into practice.
Describe how these and related advances in the field are being used to better treat patients with prostate, head and neck, and breast cancers.
The ACS designates this educational activity for a maximum of one category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Each physician should claim only those credits that he or she actually spent in the activity. This quiz must be completed online by March 1, 2006.
